Happy July! The summer is rocking, far from the "lazy days of summer" and I'm hearing so many great stories about how everyone is lifestyling and building their businesses in their travels, family activities and more.
The Flames Team remains one of the fastest growing teams in the company thanks to all of you!
Summer is a great time to turn up the heat on your business! So many new opportunities that present themselves to build your business going into the fall and holiday candle seasons!
In June we saw two Regional Events with a good representation from our teams there and among the speakers.
So let's keep burning, earning and building throughout the summer months as we head towards Summer Fling in August in Wilkes-Barre as well as Mid States Conference in Topeka, Kansas. I know many are making plans to attend these events and can't wait to see you there! Bob Scocozzo always says "More Meetings Mean More Money". There is truly nothing like these events to inspire and motivate you. When you hear the stories, ideas and suggestions it gives you added momentum and excitement towards building your business to the next level. It's an experience like no other and a great investment in your business!
When I look at our group I see many up-and-coming leaders and the future superstars of Scent-Sations and Mia Bella! You all are fantastic!
Keep the Sizzle in your Summer and it'll pay off in a BIG WAY! Dream Big and Go For It!

I actually had three experiences with these candles before I became part of our amazing "family". The first experience was back around September 2005. I was reading an ad online, and in the signature line, I saw something about entering a free drawing for a free candle. I thought "why not? I like candles." So, I clicked on the link and it took me to a page to sign up for a free candle drawing. I had no idea what the name of the company was who sponsored the drawing or even anything about the type of candles I was entering to win, but I still signed up for the drawing. After I entered the drawing, I got an email from someone, and then a page with some information about candles. A short time after I received that email, I got a box in the mail- I won the weekly drawing from the company! (My name is on the list of previous winners). It was a Hot Apple Pie Candle! I burned it and then put it away for a while. When I took it out again to burn, it still smelled the same as it did when I got it, and it just didn't look like any of my other burned candles- interesting, I thought all candles looked the same when they were burned.
I still did not know much about the company I won the candle from, but I remember getting a few of those emails and just deleting them after reading them very quickly- I really wasn't interested in a business opportunity with candles. I finally emailed the person back and said if I was interested, I would contact the person later.
Fast forward about 3 months to about December 2005. I won an auction on Ebay for some business supplies for another business I was with, and when I got my item, there was this business card with a scent sample on it and the phrase "I would love for you to stick your nose into my business!" I thought- cute phrase, and smelled this sample- it was a zesty orange type scent called "Sweet Orange & Chili Pepper"- hmmm, I really liked that scent! I kept it on my computer desk, and kind of lost track of it, but the scent still lingered on. Well, I needed to do some cleaning to find my desk, and since I was not interested in selling candles, there was no need for me to keep that business card, so I threw it away, along with the zesty orange scent sample.
Fast forward a couple weeks after the party. Carol and I kept in touch. She sent me a couple of emails. I guess she must have sensed the excitement in my email to her. I started thinking to myself, hmmm, I really like these candles, but I still didn't want to sell them or get involved in another business. That thought kept going through my mind until the beginning of July. I started emailing back and forth with Carol about the candles, and then I got an email about her excitement with her 1 month anniversary. She had so much enthusiasm in her emails, and so I asked her a little more about the candles. I asked for her phone number and called her on my way to pick up my grandson. That evening, I went home and went to her website, and on July 12, I officially became part of the "family".
They say that "3 times is a charm", and in my case, it took 3 experiences and almost a year to see just what this company was all about. The first 2 times I experienced this company, the candles just weren't "calling me". The third time I experienced this company, Carol and her down home, sincere enthusiasm, was the one who was able to "call me". I know that we have many members in our "family", which is awesome, because Carol started just a little more than a month before me. Along with her sponsor Dawn, Carol has been such an inspiration for me. I have been able to get support and encouragement, and am working on moving out of my comfort zone, of course with the help of my mentors.
Hopefully, my story will inspire someone to take a look at what we have to offer, and take that next step and join our very fast growing family.
Sincerely,
Shar Wade
I joined Mia Bella on July 30, 2006. My business has had many ups and downs, but one thing that reamains constant is my love and passion for this company, the products and my team. I dream of the day that I can be home full time and I know that Scent-Sations is the company that is going to help me realize that dream. I am so honored to be on Dawn's team and love that we are all like on big family. I am honored to be here and am happy to be on such a wondrous journey with everyone.
